Main Hall

The large main hall, located in the village High Street, is available to hire for events and activities and for use by affiliated clubs and other groups. With a large working stage plus dressing room facilities, it is the ideal venue for local theatrical performances.

The hall also offers a small tea bar that can be used to serve light refreshments or can be set up as a licensed bar for parties. A bespoke in-house catering service is available from £10 per head, discuss your requirements with our chef or our licensee Peter Smith. There are tables and chairs available for those hiring the hall and the hall is used regularly for a range of events including concerts, musicals, quiz nights, coffee mornings, antiques fairs and parties. It is also home to a number of exercise classes. The hall is suitable for hosting weddings and parties and would also lend itself to sporting activities such as badminton.

The main hall plays a key role in the Christmas Market and we also host a Christmas Afternoon Tea for the more senior residents of Ingatestone and Fryerning.

The capacity of the hall is about 200 people seated theatre style, 120 seated cabaret style at tables and 180 for quizzes and parties.

The stage can also be hired along with the main hall if needed for shows or as part of a function booking.

Committee Room
The first floor Committee Room is suitable for business meetings/presentations or small groups and has a maximum capacity of 25 people. The room can be set up with a conference table or theatre style and has a pull down screen, whiteboard and flip chart and offers free WiFi connection for presentations.

Stage

The stage in the main hall can be hired along with the main hall, there is an additional charge for its use.  If sound and/or lighting are required this can also be arranged separately.

Dressing Room

The Dressing Room is used by local drama groups when they are performing on stage and can also be hired as a meeting venue. The maximum capacity is 25 people when used as a meeting room or 50 when used in conjunction with the stage for performances.

The Dressing Room has a separate entrance and has its own toilet facilities.

Snooker Room

Our Snooker Room is available to members and boasts two, regularly maintained, full size snooker tables plus a pool table. It is best to phone and book a table, especially if you wish to play in the evening, as it can be busy. The key and set of snooker balls will need to be collected from the bar, we do also have one set of snooker balls available for collection from the office on Mondays to Thursdays from 10am until the bar opens.  Players require £1.00 coins for the light meter in order to play. There are snooker cues in the room but the more serious players may, of course, bring their own!

To use the pool table, players will need 50 pence pieces and once again, the key should be collected from the bar, or office on Mondays to Thursdays from 10am until the bar opens.
